Amazing home style BBQ exacly how you want it servered. Delious meats pilled high with some of the best options around for sides.
Awesome local place, I was just passing through with my kids and stopped for a beer and some BBQ! Good sauce selection
Great food and atmosphere.
Great beers on tap and the food was really delicious; although I do think the portions were a bit on the small side.
We stopped in for barbeque and a beer on a Saturday afternoon. The large appetizer plate of nachos with pulled pork was more than enough for two of us but we still split a quarter rack of ribs, mac and cheese and cornbread. The nachos had plenty of toppings and the pulled pork was moist and delicious. The ribs had a lot of flavor. A couple of draft beers with sun coming in the front window made it a great spot on a November afternoon.
I have had food from here a few times. I just wish I had time available last night, why did I need to be running so late. Tasty food, fast service, reasonable prices, laid back atmosphere, what more could I ask for.
Excellent! Stopped for a quick dtink and snack. Great smoked mozzarella, loaded fries huge! Will definitely return!
Food was really good, we ordered take out. Very fun atmosphere, and a good selection of beer both local and domestic.
Good selection of craft brews, and good apetizers. No on site brewing.
Great little local place. The brisket and pull pork were both very tender and tasty. Beer selections were also good. Unpretentious, friendly, laid back atmosphere.
The food is really good and priced moderately. Friendly attentive staff
5 pages of beer. Best mac and cheese ive ever had! The bbq brisket was very good, I'm glad I stopped by here on the way through!
Nice atmosphere with good food what more could you ask for.
Food was great, staff was friendly and helpful. A little pricey but worth it.
This place was way overpriced. $14 for a dry brisket sandwich and $13 for a tiny "personal" pizza that didn't even close to fill me up. Food was 3.5 stars, as was service, prices were the deal breaker. I would not come back. If you're in the area and hungry, I'd check our Blue Door Market, particularly if you're looking for outdoor seating.
Great BBQ, good beer selection and friendly staff.
Really tasty brisket. Served on baking sheet which gives the casual, BBQ joint feel. Coleslaw was good as are the beans. Wish a piece of con bread wasn't considered a side and as a lot of Northeast BBQ places they charge for a drink refill. But to end on a good note the brisket was moist and wonderfully smoky. Going back tonight!
Food was decent but expensive for what you get. The service was very slow. It was a Saturday afternoon and we just came at the end of lunch we were the only people ordering and it took forever to get our food. Staff was not rude, but not very friendly either. I recently heard that they closed this restaurant down
The pulled pork is really tasty. Not a fan of creamed collards or their beans. Corn bread and baked potato ok. Really just like the pork! Great selection of beer and wine and great atmosphere makes the place!
Rustic atmosphere for a relaxing lunch and a few beers, cordial personnel and good food help you spend the time there.
Unbelievable beer selection, with craft cans and bottles by the hundreds. Really great sides and top notch desserts....but the barbecue itself is sorely lacking. I'd go back for beer and a snack or a sweet but not the meat.
Sorry. Went here. Borded up. Closed.
Very good food. Pretty pricey. Waitress didn't mention $4 surcharge for side substitutions which pissed us off.
Great atmosphere and even better BBQ. Nice selection of beers also. Will definitely return.
Excellent food. Great service.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was great and our bartender was very helpful also they have a huge selection for beer. I would definitely go back again.
Wow! Haven't had great BBQ like this since I was in the Carolinas. I appreciate the gluten free options. Love the food, vibe, staff, and HOLY BEER LIST Batman!
Food was amazing and the black beans were to die for the best I ever had! Driving back there from Flushing N.Y. this weekend for more..
Tonight was my second visit and everything was just as amazing as the first! So far I've had Buffalo wings, creamed collards, bacon cheeseburger, and the Phoenix pizza. The Buffalo wings were the best I've ever had! They make all the sauces in house. Really everything was perfect, including the extensive beer list. Our servers were great and Jesse (an owner?/chef) was super friendly and answered all our questions. I am making this place a weekly stop.
Very good pulled pork with a nice bun and fresh cut fries
Rustic atmosphere. Root beer floats we're good. They offer an 8" and 17" pizza. That's odd. Chicken wings were really good. Chicken sandwich was amazing. Their beer options are mostly micro brews...sad
Everything tasted good, the macaroni wasn't quite done and the pulled pork sat in liquid (probably juice) which wasn't bad, just not as fresh as I would like. The meat was served with minimal fat, which is awesome! Typical prices for the area. Would love to try again when things are fresh!
Great food, some pretty large portions and a truly superb beer list. Helpful, friendly staff. Strongly recommend.
Good food and craft beer...
Had breakfast it was great. The homefries were awsome and wheat toast was delish.
Great place, but wings were cold...
BBQ was awesome, staff was very pleasant and the ride there was very scenic and pretty.
The food was sooo delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is very tentative and can’t wait to come back.
Stopped off on a random trip back from upstate NY and found this gem. First off, these ladies know their brisket and we'll definitely make it a point to come back when were headed anywhere up north again...Having grown up in Texas I am particular about my BBQ (especially brisket) and this place did not dissappoint. The brisket was exceptional, as was the green beans, mac and cheese and desserts. Feel like I was back home at a local mom and pop BBQ joint. The dessert were also on point... best strawberry rhubarb pie I've had in quite some time. Everything we ate was excellent and the owners we exceptionally friendly as well. LOVE THIS PLACE!P.S. the pumpkin IPA was damn good too!
Delicious food! Great service!!
Good food! Nice and cozy with good music. A bit pricey.
Food was terrible I got very sick and the server was not a friendly person. I would suggest Mc Donald's before this garbage
Take it from a Texan, this place is amazing. Get the Brisket. Then come back and get the pizza. The beer selection is great, even though there is only one beer on draft.Edit: they've updated their drafts, I think they have 5 or 6 now. We love this place, but honestly their quality isn't as consistent as when they first opened. It's still great though y'all.
The waitresses were on the unkind side, although they could have just been having a bad day... The brisket was not good... fries were not great and they only served me about 10. The chicken fingers/ tenders were ok! The kale salad was decent. All together... a whopping total of 70 bucks!! I've got to admit, I'm not too pleased with this place.
Food and service were very good. The brisket sandwich is excellent.
Excellent BBQ and beer.
Food tasty, service was very nice and helpful with suggestions. Beer was good. Comfy setting.
Service was good food was dry. Wanted ribs but they didnt have any.
I've eaten here 4 times. Three times before it closed for a while and once since it reopened. In every case the food was poorly made. It either was over done (burnt or tough brisket and ribs) or the recipes were not right like the macaroni and cheese being of the worst consistency I've ever seen (cheese separated), or the BBQ chicken being too thin and greasy. It's the kind of place I always want to like, I love BBQ, but it has failed me so much that I feel compelled to write a negative review. If you do decide you must have BBQ and go here make sure you bring your antacids.
I travel for work and explore BBQ places in my spare time. I just got back from 10 days in Texas and the Ribs and Brisket I just had here rates right there with the top Texas BBQ places. Most BBQ places outside of Texas serve you meat with no flavor and hope the sauce makes up for that. I can say with confidence the ribs and brisket here can be eaten without sauce because the meat has real flavor. I live an hour away and will be back with the family. Oh, and will ask my wife to drive home so I can order beer off the 5 page beer list......
